Preview: Explorer’s Companion to Chult

I am proud to announce that I will soon be putting my first product on the DM’s Guild! The Explorer’s Companion to Chult will be a player’s supplement for the Tomb of Annihilation module in the same vein as the Elemental Evil Player’s Companion. In terms of content, much of it will be compiled 5E material previously on the blog, but it will also have utility outside of running the module. Here is a rundown of what you can expect:

New Race: The Saurials. This does not spoil anything, but Dragonbait makes a cameo in the module. What better way to re-introduce fans to the saurial race than this? This section will detail all 4 saurial subraces: bladebacks, finheads, flyers, and hornheads.

New Archetypes. Each class will have new options. This will not only include things like the Scalykind Domain for clerics and Hedge Magic for wizards, but also new supplemental material I have yet to have released, such as the Path of the Runescarred for barbarians, that use your Hit Dice to fuel your magic, and the Brawler fighter archetype, a bruiser that focuses on unarmed combat and grappling.

New Feats. This will mainly focus on bringing out the most in your saurial characters, as well as more general options for survival in the deep jungle.

And More. This product will also feature a few new backgrounds, new items, and new spells that further explore the themes in the previously mentioned sections. Since this is a small project, I have much of the content already written. Right now, I am learning more about publishing on the DM’s Guild, polishing up the content, and creating a template. It will be a couple of months before it is ready, but I will be posting updates here!

Thanks, and stay tuned!
